All applications must be submitted in person at our office. The waiting list is currently open.

This waiting list opens and closes periodically based on how many eligible applications we currently have. There is no fee to apply. If assistance is needed to apply for Housing, please contact office to schedule an appointment.

Once you've applied, staff will review your application for eligibility based on the information you've provided. If determined eligible, you will be placed on the waiting list.

Once your application reaches the top of the waiting list you will be contacted. Wait times can vary based on unit availability.

All requested documents must be included for an application to be considered complete. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Once submitted, please make sure to report ANY changes to your application as they arise. Failure to do so could result in removal from the waiting list.

Morristown Housing Authority administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program for Greene County. If you are interested in applying for a voucher instead of Public Housing, you must contact them directly at 423-586-5115.

Household information must be updated as changes occur. This includes name, income, address, telephone numbers, household composition and all other information regarding your application. If we are unable to contact you when your name reaches the top of the waiting list, your name will be removed, and you will be required to reapply.

Greene County Housing Choice Vouchers are administered through the Morristown Housing Authority. Please contact their office at 423-586-5115 to apply.
