Our Mission

Who we are

The Greeneville Housing Authority (GHA) exists to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for eligible families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in Greeneville, Tennessee. GHA works in partnership with residents, the community and local organizations to promote housing stability, self-sufficiency, and neighborhood revitalization.

Safe, Decent, Affordable

  • • We strive to make sure the health, safety, and general welfare of our residents is not jeopardized by providing access to safe heat, electricity and running water for the benefit of all occupants,
  • • Our experienced maintenance staff partner with our residents to ensure homes are kept clean, sanitary and in good repair. By completing regular inspections, we aim to meet HUD’s high standards for decent living.
  • • Maintaining affordability for our residents is prioritized through subsidy provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, commonly known as HUD. Monthly rent is determined based on household income as established by HUD guidelines.
